Jigsaw Place

It must be the landscape painter in me that keeps coming back, but I never intended this as a landscape. It was a pure abstract until I saw the tops of two houses, and suddenly there were windows and roofs appearing. So I had to add a small path and a lamp post, and very little else. There are jigsaw pieces, and buttons and string, plastic “snow” and lace.

I love the way that you divide space-your negative space is every bit as beautiful as your pos. You also work color really well in your compositions!

Thank you! I often prefer working in the negative spaces – they are like the “play area” of a painting.
