Knocking at Grandmother’s Door

Knocking at Grandmother's Door

This is closest I’ve come to a holiday card. At least, there’s ribbon and gift wrap, and candy wrappers. And the enchantment of story. In my story, she’s wearing blue, not red, and grandmother’s house leads to worlds of wonder, not fear. There’s a stamp sized drawing in the top right, by Maxfield Parrish, illustrating Poems of Childhood. 16″ x 20″, collage and mixed media on luaun board.

I feel like I am walking towards a Gingerbread house that has become animated or perhaps I am visiting a Dickens scene. I really am impressed. Great work!
